Whitridge Estate Renovation
The 22-acre estate in Tiverton, Rhode Island, dates back to 1865 and is historically tied to the Whitridge family. This Victorian home features a mansard roof, a cupola, and a wide veranda porch, all emblematic of its era.
Keene Architecture is leading the renovation, updating the interiors to meet modern living standards while honoring the home’s historic character. The design approach balances preservation with new functionality, creating elegant, livable spaces.
This project is realized in collaboration with Gary Imel Construction and Jewett Farms + Co., combining craftsmanship and innovation to restore and reimagine this historic Rhode Island retreat.
Keene Architecture received recognition in the 2025 Rhode Island Monthly Design Awards, earning Third Place in the Historic Renovation – Residential category for the William Whitridge House.
