Josh joined Keene Architecture at its inception in 2020. His ability to quickly learn and implement software enhances the design process for both ourselves and our clients.
In addition to hand sketching, Josh utilizes the latest technology - from 3D modeling, to on-site immersion through the lens of the iPad, to photorealistic renderings of projects. His active role in developing the design process for the firm has made it possible to take advantage of these opportunities for our clients without the complicated post-production time commitment. Clients are able to enjoy and benefit from these experiences that make communicating design ideas so much easier and more fun.
Before joining Keene Architecture, Josh graduated from the University of Lynchburg in Virginia, where he earned his B.A. in Graphic Design in 2007. He apprenticed under residential garden designer and esteemed author, Gordon Hayward where he learned about the fundamentals of small-scale landscape design and creating outdoor ‘rooms’ as an extension of the home.
His strong foundation in site design later was reinforced during his time at Atlantic Lawn and Garden where he was able to see so many of his designs come to fruition all over Jamestown. Looking to further his knowledge in the field of architecture, Josh worked at DiMauro Architects spending four years working on construction documents for a number of residential home designs.
At Keene Architecture, Josh's unique background in software, architecture, and landscape design allows us to take a holistic view of the entire property for you and your family to enjoy for years to come.
Originally from Vermont, Josh now lives in Rhode Island with his wife and two children. He enjoys everything the Ocean State has to offer.
